Saturday we got all dressed up in our Renaissance garb (yes, we are those weird people who do that, but we don't go completely crazy with it) and went out to Scarborough Faire. It really is the same every year, but I still enjoy going.
Here are a few pictures of what we saw.
This little piping fairy was really too stinkin' cute! And the children were all just mesmerized by her. After she was done playing for them she would give them a dragon's tear and sprinkle them with pixie dust. Really too cute!
This "man of science" was an act I hadn't seen before. We walk up in the middle of the show, so I missed his name. In the first picture he made smoke rings with the barrel and in the second picture he was catapulting eggs (raw eggs) and had this little kid trying to catch them with a bucket at the back of the crowd.
These two crack me up everytime! Please meet Noobler and his cranky leprechaun friend. Noobler plays the mandolin and sings silly songs and the leprechaun play a little tin whistle. (although it's not tin, so I'm not sure if that's what it's called, but it sounds like a tin whistle.)
Here I am with my mouth open and yapping as usual. What do ya think... the sunglasses and crocs really make the outfit don't they?
These are the Rogues. Great band... I think we actually own all of their cds.
A part of one of the villages.
I do believe that this is a troll.
And we can't forget their majesties. Henry and Anne. These two have been playing these parts for probably close to 20 years now!
Bellydancers.
My highland farmboy.
There was a whole family of chainmail clad warriors (hehe, watching Noobler sing!)
Well, there's the tour of our day of revelry and fun!
