Day 6
for us was all about having new carpet installed in all the bedrooms.
Thanks to a hot water heater leak,
{though leak would be putting it mildly}
we got new flooring throughout, nearly, the entire house.
Day 7
was the day of spontaneity.
We went out to get tree cuttings and came back with an entire tree.
The first live one we have ever had.
Day 8
it was cold.
It ended up being the only day, out of the whole of winter, cold enough to wear a coat.
Day 9
The Farmboy and I decorated the Christmas tree.
Just the two of us.
And we took a 1959 Better Homes and Gardens posed photo of it.
Day 10
is where I tell the story of our Christmas cards and accompanying photo
and how they came so very near to getting sent out,
however, are still sitting in a neat little pile on the corner of my desk.
Almost one year later.
Have a beautiful weekend!

very nice! you inspire me but in all truth I can NEVER seem to get my act together in the Nov/Dec months to create any sort of winter/holiday keepsake! someday perhaps... Your book looks great though and it will be such a nice thing to look back on.
have a great weekend Alisa. xo nat
I can really "feel" the warmth through the monitor, Alisa. I SO love the picture of you both by the tree, and that of the stocking feet. Your book is a very inspiring one! Did I tell you it is YOU who have been the spur for me to start an art journal?? I couldn't be more happy I did!
... THANK YOUU!
xoxo
P.S I really have hard times (+ lots of yelling) writing with a white pen on my painted backgrounds- would you share which type of pen you do use?
xo
Love your pages!
it´s such a great idea with a december daily book - great memories in your book Alisa.
ps: I would love to know about the white pen too ;-)
Dear Alisa, I have tried to read ,and figure out , why those beautiful cards are still in your home!!
Can`t read enough to understand, and think it could have something to do with your water damage? well your book from last year`s daily funs and troubles are a wonderful keepsake, to open up another year in the future.

Did anything precious- get destroyed in the leak? I much enjoy looking through your book!
