Saturday

What are two people to do on a kid-less Saturday?
Picnic at the park, of course.
And what should one bring to a kid-less picnic?
Well, other than the obvious quilt, and in my case a Farmboy and his pig…

toasted turkey melts from this cookbook, kettle chips and maybe a nice bottle of wine are always a good choice.

And some ripe, sweet strawberries and chocolate mint Milano cookies for an easy dessert.

Be sure to keep an eye on that pig though. You know they love strawberries just as much as they love truffles.

You might also want to remember your big, floppy sunhat, so you can steal a kiss without being seen by other park goers.

And that is how you spend a pleasant, kid-less Saturday.

What did you do this weekend?

Alisa, such a sweet post! And thank you for the giggle today, as you have wonderfully captured the zeal of Farmboy's pig on this kidless outing. ~ Angela

Lovely, a DATE! Hooray for the two of you {and the pig....he's a cutie!}
I drove 750 miles to a barn sale in Illinois, meeting old friends and new, bloggy ones! It was a spur of the moment thing and I'm so glad that I did. We have to seize the moment sometimes, right? Glad that YOU did, too! xx P&H

Looks like the picnic was a success for sure. LOVED the sunhat idea! Me... I went to Round Top for a jewelry class. Check out the post to see what I made. Sorry we didn't get to do Craft Night because of the weather. HUGS! Charlene
