It Was A Marie Day

I seriously feel so grateful to not only have friends who enjoy the same hobbies as I, but who also live so near. Yesterday two of those friends came over and we spent the day working on our canvases for this Marie Antoinette swap.

And what would a day of Marie Antoinette be if there weren't decadent sweets? Well, it certainly would not be a proper Marie day! So, I provided pretty blue candies and the other two brought scrumptiously, yummy cupcakes and the most delicious Red Velvet cake I've ever put into my mouth!

Surprisingly, between all of the chatting and indulgent eating, I think we each did manage to get a bit accomplished. Here's a little bitty peek of my canvas.

How do you know what someone TRULY believes? By what they do.

Oh, Alisa, the papers are beautiful! And the cake...I think I put on 5 lbs. just drooling at the picture!
A "Marie Day" sounds like so much fun! I passed up the Marie publication the other day in favor of Somerset Life instead but it's on my shopping list for my next trip to B&N! Isn't everything so divine in it!
