And A Winner Has Been Picked

All of your names were tossed into the coconut shell
(some twice... thank you for that!)
and a name was picked...

But, before I tell you whose name,
I just want to say

THANK YOU!

Y'all are truly the BEST
and as cheesy as it may sound,
you help make my life as beautiful a place as it is.

So again, thank you!

Alright,
on with it.

And the birdies go to...

Caleen

Congrats Sweet Lady!

Now I have to go scrub the kitchen.
It stinks in here.
Someone dumped grease down the sink while we were gone.
Hrumph... 'nuff said.

300... It's For the Birds

It’s GIVEAWAY time!!!

I’ve reached my 300th post and as a Thank You for taking your time to come by and visit with me, I have some little bird pretties that I would love to share with you.

A sweet little bird dish,
a couple of yards each of seam binding in a soft brown, pink and green,
four mini, speckled pink eggs,
and three tiny little vials of german glass glitter in silver, pink and blush.

I have a luscious bar of soap from Tokyo Milk.

Also, a 1911 issue of Bird Lore (May – June),
a yard of ribbon,
two pretty millinery roses,
and a smattering of buttons in green, pink and white.

And I made a little wall hanging, just for you.
I’m sure I will put a few more goodies in before shipping it off.

Here are the deets…
I’m heading off to my parent’s paradise island bright and early tomorrow morning (ahem… a little too bright and early for my taste, but you see, it’s a little known fact that Farmboys must go diving as soon as humanly possible, once they touch Caribbean soil).
So, you have until I return home to leave a comment to enter.
If you blog about it and then come back and let me know that you did, I’ll pop your name in twice.

We get home on the 9th, but we get home ridiculously late (because, and I believe it’s a little known fact, that girls named Alisa must linger on the beach, under the palm trees, for as long as humanly possible before boarding a Caribbean leaving plane).
So seeing how the 10th is a special day around here anyway, it being the Graduate’s 18th birthday, we’ll make it that much more special and I’ll draw a winning name that morning.
Sound good?

See you back here on the 10th!

P.S. Of course those of you outside of the U.S. can enter too.
I wouldn't leave y'all out!

200.... Well, Sorta

**Edited**
Giveaway is now closed and the drawing has commenced.

Okay, so it's actually 225.

My 225th post that is.

Some how I managed to miss 200. So, let's celebrate it now.

How about a giveaway?!

I'll be honest, I'm not much of an Autumn girl. I prefer Spring. But, since Autumn has started to pop in around here, I thought the giveaway should have an Autumn feel to it... but maybe in more of an Alisa-ish way. A little softer than normal Autumn.

So I have for you...

A composition journal and bookmark, a bingo card (you can't see it here, but it has wishbones at the top), some vintage leaves and flowers, a metal dodad...

velvet ribbon, cream lace, metal maple leaf, mismatched earrings, abalone buckle, creamy buttons, a handful of Autumnish plantlife cards...

a page out of an antique photo album, pompom trim, a tulle and velvet napkin (I think that is what it is), more lace, flocked paper, vintage wallpaper, seambinding and some lovely wide trim.

I actually have a couple more items to put in, but forgot to put them in to be photographed.

So, if you want a chance to win, leave a comment and I'll pick a winner on Thursday at noon (central time).

Good luck and thank you all so much for reading my ramblings!!!

It's a GIVEAWAY!

I'm finally ready!

In honor of my 100th post I have a pretty pink giveaway for you.
Leave a comment on this post and next Monday, July 7th, I'll pick a name.

I've made a pretty rose journal and

picked out a vintage teacup from my collection. I've also added some vintage lace, yellow pompom trim, pink embroidery floss, some vintage millinery and a mix of pink, yellow and green faux pearl beads.

I hope you like it. Remember, leave a comment on this post and I'll draw a name Monday, July 7.

Have a beautiful day!
