Yesterday I had a million and one things that had to get done, pronto.
So I ignored my list of must do's
and made kerchiefs instead.
Why?
I don't really know.
I dug through my huge stash of hankies.
Pulled a few out and some good, heavy vintage ribbon.
Ironed the hankies.
Pinned on the ribbon.
Used a pretty decorative stitch with my sewing machine
and voila.
Someone else got a pretty, little kerchief too.
I'm thinking about stitching her name on it,
but I'll probably wait to do that when I have another humongous list of to do's in front of me.
Cuz that's just the way I roll.
Have a beautiful weekend!

That's hilarious Alisa - I am sooooo like that too! The more I have to get done, the more sewing inspiration I get. I think it's just my brain's way of saying no to chores. "Just say no" works for lots of things!
The kerchiefs are great - so colourful and fun. What a great idea!
Hihi if we didn't ignore the to-do list how would we ever get anything fun done.
Wasn't sure what you meant with kerchief (I was thinking handkerchief) until I saw your pooch. He looks quite dashing with his/her? kerchief.
Happy Easter to you!!
adorable! it's always when we have a ton of stuff to do that we get inspired to do something completely different! and with great results! glad you followed your inspiration..
have a Happy Easter! xo
Oh how I love old hankies too! They're just so pretty and affordable! :)
such pretty kerchiefs, and the puppers, icing on the cake....

Well that goes the other way,for me,too--If I have too much to make for my shop here, I stay inside and don`t know where or what to start sewing....
Old kerchiefs are so soft and lovely-and your idea, is wonderful.
