She's Back Again

and with her comes a sigh of relief.

My naughty little muse is whom I speak of.

She did the same thing around this time last year.
Only this year, she wasn't gone for just a couple of weeks.  She took off for an entire month.

She and I rocked January.
It was non-stop creating... mainly in art journals.
It was so nice.
And then when February rolled in, she was off like a flash.
Not hide nor hair to be found.

But it's all good... I understand.
The well is full now and our hands are messy again.

Have a beautiful Monday.

I'm sure you welcomed her with open arms. Isn't it nice to have her back? Looking forward to seeing what the two of you get up to.

I know what you mean, Alisa. It can be scary. But also....a necessary "healing" and regrouping time.

Blessings!

It goes that way sometimes - the ebb and flow of creativity and inspiration. We get so used to the well overflowing, not being able to keep up with the jumble of ideas and then one day our mind is still.
Sometimes I wonder if we need that stillness, in order to make room, to allow space for more.
Or perhaps the little muse-brats just get a notion to play hooky. I hate it when it happens and it always seems to be around this time of year.
One thing I have learned for sure is that inspiration cannot be forced, nor can desire. I have found the best way through it is to ride it out, accepting the restless wandering of my mind, knowing in a matter of hours, days or weeks, it will end and my fingers will start dancing all over again.
I'm glad she came back Alisa!

I know what you mean. My muse was gone this past month and now she has finally returned. How is that stitching book? I was close to buying it.

I missed her a lot! We all know how that feels. I am just starting to be able to do little things and it feels so good!

Big hugs, Alisa,
