The One Where She Admits She Has A Problem

Hello, my name is Alisa
and I have a magazine addiction.

There I said it.

But in my defense, I have gotten a whole lot better in the past year.

I took some organizational action this week
and purged magazines.

This was only half of them.
I'm not exaggerating.
It truly is only half.

There is a stack of Farmboy mags in there too,
however, the 500 dollar stack of Stampington & Company magazines is mine.

Yes, you read that right.
And I now feel better for admitting it.

After taking two loads down to the library for donation,
this is what is left.

Not too shabby, thinks I.

I do also have a stack of Cooking Light magazines not shown,
but I'm not keeping those.
I plan on going through them and writing down the recipes I tried,
that the boys really liked.
(that's a future post waiting to happen)

Wishing you all a very beautiful weekend!
Lots of yard work planned for ours.

I am so proud of you. It is so hard to get rid of magazines. Especially certain ones. I have bins filled with them and I do look at them for inspiration. I am proud of you. You are really not alone :)

I have the same problem - not wanting to get rid of my craft magazines. I seem to wait until the stack is so large and unmanageable, then cull them out - tear out the pages I want and put them in a 3-ring binder and never look at them again....)

LOL! Alisa, I hear you....those Stampingtons are NOT throw-aways or traders or give-aways! They're KEEPERS! No matter how many we acquire! ;-)

I may "move along" some of my Somersets to a person I am doing an exchange with in Germany. She will love them. That leaves about 300 more. I consider them books in my library. After all, at that price, they might as well be books! And they have such wonderful things in them. I adore them. And I adore your new white shelves, too. VERY nice!
Bg hugs, fellow addict.

Oh you brave girl!!!! Hubby swears one corner of the house will crack off the foundation due to the weight of the Magazines & BOOKS! And he might be right. I was just thinking of cutting out the things in the ones that really interest me & not keep the WHOLE magazine. But, some of the ones have things I LOVE on every page. Oh a disease to be sure. I love the first step you took admitting... I too have a magazine addiction. Are we cured? HUGS!
