The Cruiser

I decided yesterday was the day to give my filthy, little cruiser a good washing.
The whitewalls could no longer be described as white and were quite embarrassing. (As you can see here!)

As I was pulling out all I would need to make my ride all sparkly again, I remembered that I've had several questions asked about my bike.
So here's a little info on her.

My cruiser is a Schwinn.
She is not vintage. (I believe it was bought at Target.)
She is one of my all-time favorite gifts. The boys gave her to me several years ago for Mother's Day.
The basket, not shown here, we bought at Dick's Sporting Goods store. Once home I lined it with an embroidered, vintage pillowcase. I am currently working out the kinks for the best way to attach an outer lining for the basket. It's been tricky, because it has a handle on it.
I also have a bell that has been patiently waiting to be put on too.

So, there you have it.
I love my cruiser!

How cool is your bike! Love it. Did you put the bell on? I have a bike, but the seat is just a little too high and I'm afraid of falling off when I stop. The seat down as low as it will go - so it just sits in the garage :(

Nice bike! Good photo-op too, your boys choose wisely. I am afraid my day-to-day iron horse is a bit too mundane and sporty to give good photo-ops not to mention the ugly but handy bike bags I have on it. But it does get me everywhere!
So did it shine again when you were done?

Soooooooooooooo CUTE! I didn't see the basket. I want a new bike (mine is a hand me down) with an adorable basket. Enjoy!

What a sweet Mother's Day gift. I've drooled over some great cruisers (Huffy, I think) @ Wal~de~Mart. Might have to ask for one.

This is just
adorable! Exactly
the kind of bike
I'd picture in
your "world!" I
have a practical
bike for exercise,
but someday when
I switch gears, it's
this bike all the way,
for me! Thank you
for your sweet comment
on P&H about my friend
Kathleen.....Her surgery
is tomorrow, and your
words have been such a
great comfort ~ for both
of us. Big hugs to you,
today, Alisa!

Alisa, a button or velcro? Will that help attach the basket cover? Make a tab for the back that rests near the handlebars?

Love your bike! My first one was a Schwinn too! Blue. Long gone...
