The Garden Journal

This is what I've been working on the last few days...

a garden journal.

I wanted to do this project last year, but just never got around to it. And honestly, I really didn't do too much in the garden last year. The mosquitoes were killers.

So far I have finished both the front and back covers and the first page. I'm still trying to decide on how I'll bind it. I think I'll wait until I have all the pages done to see what works best.

I've also cut all of my pages to size. I started to use watercolor paper for this, like I do in most of my journals, but then I decided to use scrapbook paper. You wouldn't believe the amount of scrapbook paper I own. I love pretty papers and can't seem to control myself when I see them. The color of these, that I've used here, just make my heart sing!

So, no matter the mosquito population this year, there will be lots of gardening being done around here.

Have a beautiful Monday!

THIS is my idea of a garden project! {Well, actually, it's YOURS.} I LOVE gardens but it's the WORK I don't love so much. Like you, we have terrible mosquitoes in the summer and also go through a time period of eentsy-teentsy things called "No See-Ums." {You sure feel them biting you and getting in your face, though!} However, THIS year will be different and I'm getting OUT there and shaping things up and creating beauty. AND, I will record it all in the lovely garden journal inspired by my neighbor at Life is A Beautiful Thing. Thank you! xxP P&H

It is just gorgeous! I've wanted to make a garden journals for ages now (although I do have the brownest thumb around - as opposed to a green one). But this is so very pretty and very inspiring.

Crafting these artistic journals is a clear indication that you’re a natural born artist. Having a colorful journal like this can inspire you to write about significant moments that you want to cherish. Also, it is really nice to have your own journal where you can write your achievements for the day and jot down your plans for the future.
