July ATCs

It's that time again! This month's ATC theme was "birds".

Cheryl chose our theme this round and here is her creation.

Not only did she create an ATC, she also compiled a CD of "chick power songs" for each of us!

The front of her card...

and the back. Cheryl has this fabulous talent when it comes to layering. However, she took it in a different direction this time. Instead of physical layers of papers and such, she did the majority of her layering in photoshop. (She so good at that too!)

Here is Nina's piece.

Nina created these lovely little hanging collages to house her ATCs in.

On the back of the collage was a match book case that held the card.

And this is the lovely card.

Donna was unable to play along this time, but we did add a new talent to the mix... our friend Misty.

Misty's cards came packaged in this gorgeous handmade box...

that coordinated with her card.

What did I tell ya... talented, huh?!

And here is mine.

There are two things I just can't get enough of right now... Art Nouveau and Magnolia Pearl. For a long time I've loved both of these, but like I said, I seriously just can't get enough of either right now. So inspiring!

My card is made from the fabric pieces and trims I picked up when I went here and a little bit of Wanda's lace (the tea dyed bit of pink on the front). The peacock image is from a Dover Publication that I used watercolor pencils on.

We won't be doing an ATC swap in August, but we will be back at it in September. The theme is "sweet". Looking forward to it.

Have a beautiful Wednesday!

Ooooooh la la! You photo them so well! I love how you always make us all look so PRO! I didn't realize you had hand painted your peacock with your watercolor pencils. I've been dying to get at mine again (haven't used them since college!) You did an amazing job. Talk about layering talent...the rich fabrics, and I know how tough watercolor is..even the pencils. That's a real layering artform!
