From Gratitude to Journey

Gratitude.
(my 2008 one little word for the year)
2008 had so much to be grateful for.
Even with it's ups and downs. My little family and I made it to the end, happy and healthy.

However, it's time to move on. This doesn't mean that I won't continue to be grateful for all that is "given" to me. Without a doubt, I will.

But now it's time for me to focus on my "Journey".
(this is the point where my Farmboy busts into a rendition of "Open Arms")

I've been searching for just the right word for two weeks now. It, my word, kept flitting by me, so close, but just out of reach. Just this morning, everything has fit into place and "Journey" feels right.

I've spent a lot of time dreaming about different facets of my life and I think it's now time for me to set forth on my version of a walkabout. I'm hoping that by the end of 2009, I will have a beautiful song to sing about my story...
my Journey.

Wishing each and everyone of you a most beautiful 2009!

Sounds like you have given a lot of thought to this. I hope it goes well and that you find what you are looking for...I think reaching out and refocusing like this is a good thing, but I agree with Lori...I hope you are not leaving! Can't you take us with you?

Alisa~
One of the definitions of a journey is a passage or progress from one stage to another. I hope your journey falls under that definition and not the primary definition of traveling from one place to another. I can't imagine you leaving the blog world....you have been such a source of knowledge, encouragement, and inspiration to me. May you stretch your wings and find what you are looking for in this new year. Joy, love, good health, and prosperity to you and yours in 2009!

I loved reading about your birthday and holidays. So similar to mine :) - wish we lived closer - we'd be chums for sure! I'm getting back to the blog sometime soon - I just needed to put it on the back-burner for awhile. :) Hope your new year is starting in a wonderful way...xo Whitney

I am posting a comment again but, I saw you got a soldering Iron.. Tell me how you do and if you like it.. I have one and all the stuff but, I have not used it yet.. There are no classes around her to teach it so, I am a little apprehensive.. really stupid.. I also loved your tree and all your decorations.. Our christmas was different too, but really good..
