So while I was away, I missed out on Kari's, (Artsy Mama) Sweet and Sinister Swap. :( This one is so cool too. Not just an ordinary swap, but one that has a blog to go along with it. However, she is providing a second blog that will have all of the fun guest tutorials, Halloween inspiration and giveaways that will be provided in the swap blog.
Luckily it is not full yet! Sign up information is here. I'm really excited about this, especially the tutorials. Last Halloween I made my very first banner. I was just starting to get into all of this vintage crafty goodness and I was totally inspired by this girl. And even cooler, she will be a guest designer on the blog. Yippee!
The second place to visit is Shabby Scraps. Tiffany is hosting a party.
This Friday, August 1st, she will have links to all of the participants who will be showing their dress forms, both big ones and minis (I have one of these). I believe the link list is full now, but it should prove fun to visit them all. There will be over 50!
I was going to share some little pretties I made before vacation, as well as, a couple of lovely items I picked up. Alas, no camera. I suppose I could have gone and borrowed my MIL's, but I've been really busy putting together a new kit for the shoppe. So it will have to wait.
Until next time...

hello!!! i can barely keep up with my google reader as it is...and you are tempting me with more blogs to read...LOL...candice carpenter's looks like a lot of fun though!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing all the lovely mannequins/dress forms - wish I had one! The sweet and sinister swap should be interesting viewing too!
Alisa, you're making us all wish we had a 48-hour day!
Thanks for the comments on my blog about my Bohemian pins. The "embroidery" is pretty much "follow the lines" of the fabric design that's printed. I save the really fancy stitches for bigger projects or I'd need quadra-focals instead of my bi-focals! ;-)

I love it when I come here and you're posting links (I love to come here every day for other things as well!!) because I get to armchair travel!!! These are wonderful...thanks for sharing them Alisa! Have fun putting together your most recent kit!!
Hello! I heard you are also going to Silver Bella -and that we may be in the same 'soldering for virgins class'- so I thought I would visit your lovely blog!
So many exciting eventsin blog land! Wish I had a vintage dress form!TTYL...Sandy :)
You are such an inspiration! I can't keep up with the Google Reader, posting, and taking care of the house, garden and pets as it is. How on earth do you do it all? I've likely asked you that question before, and forgotten. Honey, wait till menopause. I know you will think: "you meanie, you" but what else do we poor menopausal women have but to torture the young with what comes next...
