This was my day today....
The alarm went off at 6:30 and I hit snooze three (maybe 4) times.
I killed the sinus headache and ball of snot in my stomach with 3 Advil and half a pot of coffee.
Then I met up with a Bestie and drank more coffee and headed over to The Woolie Ewe.
Because every 5 years I relearn how to knit.
While there the Farmboy showed up. He needed something I had with me.
"Where are you?"
"The Woolie Ewe."
"The What?"
"The Woolie Ewe."
"Huh?"
"Woolie Ewe. Like Fuzzy Lamb."
Sometimes the Farmboy can't understand my accent.
Evidently.
Anyway, I'm ready to start now.
Right after I look up on the internets how to do it.
Thank you, Al Gore, you're a life saver.
After lunch I went back home and attempted to make bread.
Attempted is the correct term here.
This is my first time to make bread.
To me that picture makes it obvious enough that I shouldn't actually have to say that.
Is it supposed to be that sticky?
Martha's never looks that sticky.
It's in the oven right now, so we'll see later if the Domestic Goddess left the building before I began or not.
Next I will start making soup.
Soup I'm sure nobody here will eat.
Carrot and sweet potato.
Some days you've got it and some days you don't.
And now for the Artful Blogging magazine winner....

Add more flour my dear. With the humidity in the air, especially today, I end up adding almost a cup more flour than normal.
You did a great job on the rosemary walnut bread; it was wonderful. So was the carrot-sweet potato soup.

Oh lord. Your dog? I must know more. I need pictures, stories, the name.....
Did that seem creepy?
Oh.....not fun feeling under the weather.
I Sure love the picture of the puppy and yarn! I need that for my sewing/craft room:) (He looks as confused as I do when looking at the stuff;))
Funny- our knitting store is "Embraceable Ewe"! The soup sounds good, and it's probably much easier to make! (Never did make bread myself, and not sure I'm ever going to!) Thank you sooo much! So happy to get a copy of the magazine you're in!! fun! xoxo
I can relate with the sinus thing! Ugh! I'm suffering! I don't have time for this kind of thing!
I LOVE homemade bread and soup. It's sounds really good right now and it's 6 in the morning! Yeah, Heather is right just add a little more flour.
My mom taught me how to crochet years ago and now I can't remember how. I wish she were still here so she could teach me again.I would also like to learn how to knit.
Your doggie is adorable!
Hope your sinus clears up soon!
Hugs,
Sonya
Looks pretty good to me!!
LOVE the pic of the sweet fur baby too!
Congrats to Natalea!
Love,

How was the bread, Alisa? I am pleased you even tried. I am glad we have people like Heather who tell us how to do it right. And I am pleased we have people like Robin who tell us to look at the fun, important things like your very cute dog!!!
Big hugs,
Suz
what a cutie dog, I'm surprised you get anything done!
How was the bread, do you have a pic of the finished loaf?!! Mx
Hahaha! That brisk and hysterical post was just what I needed right now...cold coffee coming out of my nose is always an eye-opener! Now I've gotta go click 'follow'...right after I wipe the coffee off of the keyboard...
Alisa, this post cracked me up! I just spent the morning browsing your blog after finding you through Artful Blogging magazine. Loved the article and your blog! Your photos are stunning! Thanks for sharing!

I will be curious to see what you say about the bread. Looked a little sticky. I find the Rhodes bread dough in the frozen food section to be great. Just pop it into a pan and let rise overnight then cook.
who would ever know you didn't make it with those sticky fingers.

Well at least you're making an effort to cook..lol! I'm sure it all tasted great! I can't wait to see what you'll make with your yarn. Yay to Natalea!!
