A Gilded Bracelet

The last day of the Gilded Nest event,
Shea taught us how to wire wrap.

This was something I had been wanting to learn how to do for quite awhile.
The best part,
I learned much more than just wire wrapping in this class.

I'll admit, I definitely need a lot more practice if I ever want to make jewelry that is actually wearable in public.
But I'm okay with that,
because it's really a fun to do!

Alisa, this is lovely! I can't see any "flaws" that would keep you from wearing it in public at all.

The book under it is lovely.

And thank you for the comments about the embroidery on the cheesecloth. Your embroiderer's eye caught that!
;-) It was fun! Just lazy daisy stitches and back stitches for the stems.

Hugs!
Diane
PS: Funny...the word verification is "backst" - short for back stitch! ;-)

Alisa the bracelet is beautiful and I'm sure you're just being modest. I would wear it in public. I've fiddled around with wire wrapping, and it's not my favorite thing about jewelry-making - mostly because I'm not very good at it!

I absolutly love that bird in the photo. Tell me it is new and where I can find one. I know the post was about your wire wrapping, but that BIRD!!!! The wire wrapping will come to you the more you do. Each time you make something it will get better and better. It is a great skill to have because you can use it for a lot of things not just jewelry making. The bracelet is beautiful, I love those beads, that match the BIRD! I will have to go now for I am obsessing about that BIRD!
