February ATC

The Challenge:
Doilies.
Any kind of doily, used any way you want.

My Take:

Do you remember back a bit, I said I was enjoying Priscilla Ahn? I still am. Specifically her song "Dream".
There are a handful of songs that reach out and grab me and don't ever let go. Priscilla Ahn's "Dream" is one of those songs. So much in fact, it's on my list of songs to play at my funeral. I know, strange. But that's just me... I like to think of it as being prepared. Some people save a nest egg, I make a funeral music list. And seriously, I live in a house of males. If I didn't have my list, I could end up with a medley consisting of The Godfather and Star Wars soundtracks, along with a little Papa Roach and a dash of Lady Gaga. So, I have my list. Which by the way, the 17 year old has taped to his bedroom door, so he "doesn't lose it".
Sorry, I got off track there, where was I?
"Dream"... right. So, this was the inspiration for my ATC.

Do you have a song that grabs on to you and doesn't let go? I'd love to know.

Loved your comments about what songs would be played at your funeral if left up the boys in your household! Pretty little pockets.

Your ATC´s are so pretty Alisa - I love those little bags for them too.

LOL. This is my favorite post of yours lately because you shared your humor, which most people aren't privy to. I love that about you! Your ATCs are gorgeous, as always, and I love how you're stylizing in a readily identifiable Alisa way. That's really cool. I hope to get there someday. And, as far as the funeral music, you're not alone. I've had mine picked out since 2001. And, like you, I will definitely have to make a list because if I leave it up to Lloyd... same thing: The Gladiator and music from any of the 5 million Terminator movies. He loves "Ah nold."

Lol- I don't think I'd want any of your boys' choice of music to be played at my funeral, either!! Your ATC is so gorgeous!! Yeay for being inspired!

I have not formalized a list (I love how practical your son is) but my girlfriends need to dance in the pews to "We are family...I got all my sisters with me."

Your work is always so lovely. Thanks for always being there.

love the ATC's.

I have a list too... but it's more like, I want my nails done, eyebrows freshly tweezed, fake lashes, no fake flowers at my grave site ever! Said I would rather have no flowers than fake ones at my site. :) And I have 1 song by Nicole Mullens. (sp?) I should definitely write it all out.

I have only verbalized my wishes.

My husband's wishes... no funeral. just a big party! He wants to be propped up next to the keg! LOL

See you tonight. woo-hoo

Beautiful ATC's! And I've lots of favorite songs. Definately something of U2 and Bon Jovi.
But I'm not a ballad kind of girl, more a lover of rock!
Have a nice weekend!
