Heart Sessions

Last week, the warm hearted Rebecca Sower asked if anyone wanted to play with her and spread some heart-love across cyber space. I'm a little late, but I was motivated to finally create a heart that had been floating around my head for a month now.

This was so simple to make. All it takes is a coat hanger and some fabric (twice as long as your coat hanger)sewn into a tube.

Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving. ~Kahlil Gibran

Alisa, I like the way you left the frayed edges. Can you imagine trying to turn a tube that slender!

This is almost like what they do with the lamp chains to cover them but on a smaller scale. Lovely!

what a simple but utterly delightful and wonderful idea! I love how your heart turned out, the flowers are really the winning touch!! Thanks for sharing. I will have to try this and can use up all the metal coat hangers that I have been saving. Alisa, I do love your creative ideas! hugs, Debby

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I simply adore your heart, so much so I think I might just have to try it. Those project folders are just too cute, might have to try that as well.

Super cool idea... a coat hanger! Wow, I've never seen a more glam one :) I may have to borrow this idea next time I find a wire hanger at my house!
