While I'm Waiting....

Thank you, EVERYONE, for the well wishes! I appreciate all of them very much!

A week ago today, I had my first surgery... just a minor, out-patient one and am now waiting on biopsy results. The biopsy is, for the most part, just a precaution. We are all, including the doctors, pretty sure the results are going to come back as good news. At this point, the worst part of all of this is the anemia. It is bad... I have only half as much blood as I should have. In fact, I could very well pass as one of the Cullens, I'm so pale right now. But that is being worked on as we speak, even though iron supplements = a bblech stomach! Other than that small issue and low energy level, life is good.

So, as the post title says, while I'm waiting to find out my results, I thought I would show you what I've managed to accomplish this past week in my round robin journal (the one I showed you in the last post).

I've completed the first two pages. This first one is my intro page.

I was a little concerned about my binding, so to help strengthen it, I layered a piece of muslin over the inside cover and first page and then collaged on top of that. I created a little pocket out of some lace and have tucked a note, to the other artists, within. As you can see, I'm still on that Art Nouveau kick. I've used my watercolor pencils on both this one and the next.

This page is my sign in page.

I really liked this image, so I used it even though there isn't a spot for me to sign in, but that's no biggie. Just tucked my name in on the vase. I also added some glitter to the wings on both pages for a little sparkle.

I've started working on the first "season" spread and will share that in a couple of weeks.

Hope you all have a beautiful week!
