Gratitude

This is my word for the year. I thought it was a good time to revisit it and tell you all how grateful to you I am.

Thank you for stopping by as often as you do and taking the time to read the babble of my life and actually leave comments about it all. If it weren't for ya'll, I would never have pushed myself in the artistic direction I have, I never would have had the guts to open two Esty shoppes (and coming soon a Lollishop shoppe!), I never ever would have had the guts to register for something as grand and far away from home as Silver Bella! So again, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The little "gratitude birdie" above will soon be flying off to her new home. I have several other little "gratitudes" sitting on my desk, amongst all of the other half finished projects, waiting for their finishing touches. Then they too can be sent to their new homes.

I hope you all have a beautiful Thursday!

I know what you mean about the gratitude thing. I don't think I would have ventured out into swaps and all sorts of new projects if it weren't for the positive comments from ladies in our community.

Your collage is lovely!

You are fabulous! I'm so proud of you, and I've loved watching your progress since our first swap! It is wonderful to have the support of others in this sweet blogging community. I love getting your comments on my blog (...someone cares...). Thank you, I'm grateful for you!

When you try to explain blogging and the community, people "outside" look at you askance. Because you just don't get it if you aren't in it with us. It's sort of like a Norman Rockwell painting, in that there is such support, acceptance, and people rooting for one another. But then, I think perhaps it's because the "bunch I run with" are mainly women. And women are typically nurturing.

Alisa, this picture is definitely "you" in style! All of your work is so soft and welcoming and feminine. I love this! I know what you mean about gratitude - I'm grateful too for all of the creative blogging friends I've made. Imagine how many of these people we'd never have met in 10 lifetimes without the internet and without blogs!
