I drove up to Oklahoma City last week.
What a great city.
So very different from Dallas.
The last time I spent any amount of time in OKC was just over 21 years ago
and quite frankly the only thing I remember about that visit
is trying to find a place to nurse the three week old man-cub.
So this visit was different.
I got to visit with all of these ladies.
And then Robin Thomas took me junkin';
and it was good.
Here are a few things I brought home with me...
{not the dog hair or slobber on the floor... that was already here}
That world atlas is going to make an awesome mega-travel journal.
The scrapbook is really pretty, though it's full of clippings about the Dionne quintuplets-
and I mean it's full... and that's kinda creepy.
The little "top o' the morning" book, well there's that Wolfhound I now have;
so of course that was a given.
I heard that cow tell me to bring him home with me.
So I did.
Eight to ten pages of dog show ribbons; front and back.
I like dogs.
And the piece de resistance...
This leather book is big and heavy and has steel engraved prints of Shakespeare's plays.
Plus Shakespeare's plays.
I had to actually think about this one.
I knew I would want to cut it up, but knew that I wouldn't be able to bring myself to.
It's just too awesome.
However, that dilemma was taken care of for me when I went to open it and the cover fell off.
Done deal. No more qualms about cutting that baby up.
Thank you, Robin Thomas and Oklahoma City.
I had a lovely time.

Also, I owe a lot of emails.
I promise I'm getting to that!
Sorry.
