Method Playground Challenge: glaze and beads

I love the look of this technique! I cut flower shapes out of patterned paper then covered them with glaze and then CLEAR beads. Because the beads are clear, they allow the pattern on the paper to show through. I think they look like sugar-coated flowers. Almost good enough to eat!
Thanks for looking.

Method Playground

Challenge #3: Sew a frame

When I read the challenge for Method Playground, I went and pulled out some pics I had already printed out and the kit I already had planned on using with them (a Jenni Bowlin kit). Once I chose the paper, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

I have been infatuated with embroidery lately. I don't actually have a clue how to do it, but I'm bound and determined to learn how. I thought this paper would look cool if I sewed along the pattern with a contrasting color to make it look embroidered. I'll admit it took awhile, but I think I'm happy with the outcome.
